Choosing the right level of cover for Western Cape households

Selecting the best combined plan depends on household size, ages, and expected healthcare use. Young families often prioritise stronger day-to-day benefits for child healthcare and immunisations. Professionals may favour balanced plans with reliable in-hospital limits for accidental injuries or planned procedures. Retirees commonly choose higher hospital protection with selected day-to-day benefits.

Step-by-step selection guide

• List expected routine needs: anticipated GP visits, dental check-ups and optical replacements per year.
• Consider risk factors: planned surgeries, work or sports-related injury risk, and chronic medicine needs.
• Match plan options to budget: compare combined plan layouts and how excess choices influence monthly premiums.
• Confirm provider access: find a nearby hospital or practitioner in our network before deciding.
